Living Lerwick is the Business Improvement District (BID) which covers Lerwick town centre, in Shetland.
The BID has over 150 member businesses from a range of sectors including retail, personal services, hospitality, finance, legal, and even port management. Members include many independent local businesses, which are complemented by the services provided by national public and private organisations.
The priority actions of Living Lerwick are to increase footfall to the area to use local businesses; to create a bright and vibrant area with the addition of summer flowers, winter lights and other amenities; to work with the local authority to improve access to the area; to provide a range of marketing services to promote the town centre and its resident businesses, and to provide support to those businesses to help them grow and thrive, assisting our community, our economy and our town.
